MultipleIE (Windows only) allows you to run, well, multiple versions of Internet Explorer - all the way back to 3.0, if you so desire. Great for testing websites, or abusing yourself.

Just what I needed: even more reasons to get a new Mac. Now Parallels can quite literally run Mac and Windows apps side-by-side, intermingling your Windows and Mac OS X desktops. Freaky, but great.

Peter Boyle, who played the tap-dancing monster in “Young Frankenstein” and the curmudgeonly father in the long-running sitcom “Everybody Loves Raymond,” has died. He was 71.
