The Daily WTF, now without that stupid comic

Matt Gemmell said to blog about this, and I’ve never said no to a man whose middle name is ‘Legend’:

Do you like The Daily WTF? Do you hate their insipid, uninspired, cliche-filled, completely unfunny and absolutely shitty attempt at a webcomic? Do you also hate how they seem to be ignoring all requests to create an RSS feed that doesn’t include it (or to axe it altogether)?

Game Fuel: hype gone liquids

Mountain Dew Game Fuel, the Halo 3 branded flavor, tastes pretty much like you would expect the unholy union of Livewire and Code Red to taste: fruity and forgettable. I don’t recommend it.

Night!

Apparently whatever Apple found wrong with my laptop, and then didn’t repair because I didn’t authorize it because it was seven hundred damn dollars, fixed itself in the post on the FedEx ride back. Special!

I should probably still get a new hard drive, just to be safe, and it so happens I saw a website offering to replace MacBook hard drives with a 200GB 7200rpm hard drive for a reasonable 200-and-something dollars. With 24 hour overnight service, even! Sounds like a plan. Hell with that, I bought a new hard drive and memory for it myself, and found some awesome backup software. I’ll just do it myself and save the trouble.

Nothing says ‘just back from vacation’ like catching up on DVR’d TV that I managed to miss (this does not, however, include last week’s episodes of Heroes and House… those I saw).

Know what’s a surefire way to kill 4 hours of your day? Writing part of a 3D engine in XNA.

Meanwhile, Jack Thompson is already twisting the VT shootings towards his twisted little anti-game obsession agenda. This sick fuck needs to get disbarred, and Fox News Channel needs to quit putting him forward as an ‘expert’ on anything except being a fucking loony.

Getting ready to go for a walk while the weather is pleasant and the rain isn’t threatening; just waiting on my walking companion, who does not seem to be home yet.

Note the snazzy Apple cap: it is a must.
